Script notes Begin with reflection (Slides 1-2, about 90 seconds) Welcome the year group and explain that the assembly will look back at what changed, what people achieved and who helped along the way.

Before revealing awards, give students thirty quiet seconds to consider one moment they are proud of, one person who helped them and one thing they handled better than before.

Sharing should remain optional.

Some students may have experienced a difficult term, so private reflection is enough.

Tell the story of the term (Slides 3-5, about 3 minutes) Use six carefully checked figures to show the scale of the term, then pause on the one that tells the most useful story.

Add four school photographs covering learning beyond the classroom, sport or performance, community contribution and a memorable year-group moment.

The final slide in this section recognises progress that does not always appear in points or certificates: returning after absence, asking for support, improving behaviour, including somebody else, finishing difficult work and rebuilding confidence.

Do not name individual students here.

Celebrate routines and contribution (Slides 6-7, about 2 minutes) Reveal achievement points from the lowest tutor-group total to the highest, then explain which habits the points represented.

For attendance, give improvement the same importance as 100% attendance.

Recognise successful returns and stronger routines without identifying low-attending students or disclosing personal circumstances.

Reveal the awards (Slides 8-14, about 7 minutes) Slide 8 creates a deliberate pause before the award sequence.

The tutor-group podium and half-term hero slides contain animated reveals, so test the click order before the assembly.
